About the role:

• As an Engineering Manager in the QA and AutoQA space in Product Engineering you will have a great impact on shaping up the client facing space of the product for QA(Manual QA and cutting edge evolving space AutoQA). You will be working with Product Managers, Architects and Engineers.
• In this role, you will be managing a team of talented and driven engineers. You will be leading the development and delivery of a scalable, secure and multi-tenant cloud platform that will be responsible for catering to manual QA workflows as well as AI based AutoQA that deals with a high scale of data. You will be working closely with different stakeholders to come up with the roadmap and solution. You will be dealing with huge volumes of data and creating systems that would be able to scale heavily with growing needs.

• The team consists of sharp engineers from 9-1 years of experience. A couple of engineers have been with the company for more than 3 years and have been part of this great journey where the company and systems have evolved dramatically. Key Responsibilities:

• You will be working to develop the engineers on the team and help them advance in their careers - regular one on ones, helping them make right decisions and guiding them through good and difficult times would be just a few of these.
• You will be working with the Product Managers to help define the roadmap and working with engineers and architects to design services/components and will own the plan for execution.
• You will be owning the processes for the team and will be responsible for driving the high-quality engineering culture within the team.
• In addition, you will be working with stakeholders such as the UI team, Design team, L1/L2 support team.

Expectations:

• Experience of directly managing a team of at least 5 members.
• Good technical experience, curiosity to know the unknowns and an ambition to grow.
• Experience with startup cultures in the past and has shown growth.
• Expertise in Java and Spring or other relevant frameworks.
• Knowledge in container management tools (docker-swarm, Kubernetes) is a plus An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• Good knowledge in at-least one of the sql or no-sql databases: Postgres, mongodb, cassandra, redis
• Good knowledge in queue/pubsub (SQS, kafka, etc), cache(ehcache, memcache)
• Strong knowledge of design patterns
