Anthropic’s AI technology is amongst the most capable and safe in the world. Over the next few years, we expect large sections of the economy to begin adopting advanced AI. As the Go-to-Market Lead, you will set the strategy for successfully and safely taking Anthropic products to market. 

You will collaborate with management and the larger commercial team to develop short- and long- term business strategy, as well as oversee the initial push to bring our product to market. You will also build the organizational capacity for Anthropic to form long lasting relationships with values-aligned deployment partners. 

You’re a great fit for the role if you’ve served in Sales, Business Development, or GTM leadership positions at fast-growing technology companies; and if you recognize that emerging AI systems will require creative approaches to deliver beneficial results.

Representative Projects

  • Set the strategy and define the build-out of Anthropic’s approach to deploying our state of the art technology. 
  • Build out our GTM function, including business development, revenue operations, solutions engineers, and sales analysts.
  • Work collaboratively with the Product, Policy, and Research teams, as well as external partners, to deeply understand potential use cases for Anthropic products. 
  • Identify and build high-value relationships with external partners where “everybody wins.”
  • Develop a plan to differentiate Anthropic’s technologies in the marketplace, execute on that plan, and bring value to partners and Anthropic.

You might be a good fit if you

  • Enjoy building programs from the ground up. You think holistically and can proactively identify the needs of an organization, making key hires or developing new programs as needed. You have demonstrated experience growing a dedicated function and scaling its impact. 
  • Are an excellent communicator. You make ambiguous problems clear and identify core principles that can translate across scenarios. You advise leadership and the broader organization on specific go-to-market decisions and can communicate long term strategic plans clearly and convincingly.
  • Have strong people management skills. You’re an experienced manager with a track record for building high-functioning, cohesive teams. You recruit and mentor individual contributors and other managers across go-to-market, technical, and operations teams. 
  • Have a passion for making powerful technology safe and societally beneficial. You anticipate unforeseen risks, model out scenarios, and provide actionable guidance to internal stakeholders.
  • Thrive on collaboration and build trust with teams across the organization. You handle sensitive and high-stakes organizational decisions with professionalism and diplomacy. You respectfully influence stakeholders to act on data and insights from your team.
  • Think creatively about the risks and benefits of new technologies, and think beyond past checklists and playbooks. You stay up-to-date and informed by taking an active interest in emerging research and industry trends.
