Over the past 100 years, media production went through cycles of innovation that impacted the production, distribution, and consumption of media in ways that we couldn't predict.

Things are changing quickly, technologies grow and evolve in multiple waves.

One of the ways to think about how technologies emerge is that stuff tends to begin small and slow. There is an early period where the technology isn't quite working and it doesn't look like it's going to be very useful or important.

But then, it reaches a point where the growth accelerates upwards. It moves from the period when it was kind of a crazy idea to a period of excitement and growth.

Everything starts working.

About the job

In this position, you will join our Marketing team as a lead marketing designer. To be honest, we believe we have a decent marketing design currently, but... now it's the time to make it really awesome.

How do we perceive design?

At Synthesia, form follows function. If something looks better but it’s less usable than an alternative, it won’t be implemented. It’s quite simple to design something that looks good on the surface, but isn’t useable. It’s hard to combine both. We are all here because of our customers and the solution that is the easiest to understand and use, wins. Now, it’s our job to also make it as beautiful as possible.

How will your day to day look like?

Defining brand guidelines, designing new website sections and making new design templates for other team members. And, of course, having fun along the way.

Requirements:

• 5+ years working at a tech startup (B2B SaaS experience is an extra plus)
• Ability to show a portfolio of useful and beautiful marketing website design work
• Natural passion for discovering and playing with modern web tools
• Basic video editing skills are a plus (we do have amazing motion graphics designers on board already)
